Other Fire Emblem Series
On this page are short information/summaries about the other Fire Emblem series. Since we are mainly focusing on Fuuin no Tsurugi, we will not be going deep on information for the other series.FE01: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi
(Dragon of Darkness and Sword of Light)

Information written by Keriku
Fire Emblem 1, Dragon of Darkness and Sword of Light, 1990, for the NES. The game that sparks the life of the Fire Emblem series. In this game, you'll find the classic graphics and game style, with Marth, a character well known to those who play Super Smash Bros. Melee, fighting a war to save the land of Akaneia. With the blood of Anri, the hero who used Falchion to defeat Medeus, the dark dragon, Marth manages to resist the tides of war. Travel the lands and gain strong allies as you step up to Medeus and show him a true hero.
This game is the biggest of all the Fire Emblems as far as merchandise. A big hit in Japan, it sold fast, and the big hit sparked other merchandise, like manga, an anime, and even Fire Emblem action figures! The anime was actually for the remake, Fire Emblem 3. With all of this, there had to be a sequel. And this is the beginning of the Fire Emblem.
FE02: Gaiden
(Side Story)
![]()
Information written by Keriku
Fire Emblem 2 - Gaiden, is literally FE 2- Side Story. This game is the oddball in the Fire Emblem series, very unlike its preceder, Fire Emblem 1.
It was a true RPG, as you could travel on a map, and then enter caves, towns, castles, and more! The similarity was that in battle, you could fight like Fire Emblem 1. This game is also very similar to Fire Emblem - The Sacred Stones, as monsters roamed the land, and you could travel on a map. The game was released in 1991, and was a little rushed out. It was a good money maker, but it didn't have much merchandise, except for a book or two.
As for the plot, Alm and Celice, 2 childhood friends, travel their separate ways to end the war. Finally reaching their castle, they know it's another step to reaching the enemies. But what is the source of these monsters? Is the protector losing it's energy and dieing? Become victorious in the war and save the whole land in a battle against these horrible monsters.

(Genealogy of the Holy War)

Introduction:
The fourth installment in the Fire Emblem series brought many new things to the
series. Features like love, multi-castled maps and a dual generation storyline.
It was never released in English although many players of the series are optimistic
about a release in some form in the future. The games story-line is expansive as
you are hurled into the middle of a complex country embroiled in war.
Gameplay:
The game is exceptional, harder then the gameboy advance sequels, but an enjoyable
experience. The story is told in two halves, with the relationships you build
between the male and female characters of the first half, affecting their children
in the second half. The skills are diverse and also passed on to the children.
The maps are expansive and give a real feel of joining the beleagured Sigurd's
journey. The game is easy to pick up for veterans of the series, though its
Japanese menu's take some getting used too.
Sound:
I never notice the sound, but its quite fitting for the game. My cartridge is old
and my TV on plays the sound every so often. The battle sounds are quite good however.
Appearance:
The graphics are quite good, for a SuperNes game. Less cartoony then the Gameboy
games though not as detailed. A lot of the sprites are merely cloned.
Overall:
Fire Emblem Four is a great game. For people who have played the Gameboy Games and
want a further challenge, the game is different enough to be enjoyable in a completely
different way from its sequels. The replayability is terrific, as there are many
characters to use and many different parent combinations for the second half of
the game.
Storyline:
The story of Fire Emblem Four: Seisen No Keifu is a rich and enthralling experience.
Thrown into war, the country of Grandbell rallies and fights back against its
neighbour Isaac. Grandbell's eight provinces march against this new foe. However,
there are more ominous events on the horizon. Sigurd, the son of the lord of chaphy
stays to guard his province and is forced to take up arms against the 'barbarians'
of Verdane after his friend and daughter of a neighbouring duke, is kidnapped. The
story begins here, and follows Sigurd and his band of loyal followers as they venture
across the western half of the continent.

Introduction:
Fire Emblem: Rekka No Ken (Sword of Flames) is the first of FE games to be introduced
in English, which was then followed by Fire Emblem: Seima No Kouseki (Sacred Stones,)

Fire Emblem: The Sword of Flames, makes a great hit in America and a deeper relationship with fans of turn-based games. With characters of different classes and unique weapons and items, this game was introduced to Northern America and Europe at 2003. The storyline is spectacular; the tutorial features a clear instruction of how to play the game later on. The storyline for the tutorial is about a family feud for power and your aid in helping the rightful heir. The story goes on as you aid the heir, Lyn, to her sick grandfather, king of the Caelin Empire. During the battles in which you help Lyn achieve her destiny, you will be taught a lot about how the game works. After the tutorial, the player will than start over with new characters but this time, the player will be aiding Eliwood, prince of Pherae on his quest to find his father and futher into the story, your old characters meets up with Eliwood and helps with his quest.
Storyline:
Twenty years before the story of the Sealed Sword, the Dark Continent of Ereb laid
out the stage for the Blazing Sword...
* In the Dark Continent of Ereb
>> It was twenty years before the great Bern army led by Zefhyr was causing chaos in
the land. It started when Roy's grandfather, Albert, went missing. At the same time,
a Lycian ally, Hector, a joined force from Caelin, Lyn and the Lord of Pherae, Eliwod
all started their journeys. However, someone was plotting a riot within the Lycian
Alliance.
The Different Kingdoms/Countries:
* Etruria
>> A big empire in the west of the continent. The General of Magic, Pent joined
forces with the Lycian Alliance.
* Nabata
>> A desert containing knowledge from the ancient civilization. The Archsage who
lived in this piece of land, Athos, enlightened the Lycian army on the journey.
* Lycian Alliance
>> An organization formed by a group of lords in the south. Ostia, which was the
largest country in this area, became the leader of the alliance.
* Ostia
>> The largest noblity in Lycia. Hector was the younger brother of Wussel, and Lilina
was his daughter.
* Pherae
>> A nobility in Lycia. The landlord was Eliwod's father, Albert, who was missing and
was nowhere to be found.
* Caelin
>> A nobility in Lycia. The landlady, Lyn was from Sacae. She cried and promised that
she would see her grandfather again when she left.
* Iliya
>> A mercenary tribe in the north, full of peagsus & falco knights.
* Sacae
>> A grassland area in the east. Lyn's native land as well as nomad/nomad troop's home.
* Kingdom of Bern
>> A military country in the south eastern part. Before Zefhyr stepped onto the throne,
the king was his dad, Desmond. However, the heir to the throne was not decided and unstable.
* Kuroi Kiba (The Black Claws)
>> A mysterious association planning something in the dark. They possessed Desmond, the
king fo Bern and were behind the scenes to Lycia's riots. A mysterious man appeared afterwards
and turned the association into a murderous society. No one knows the true identity of this man.
FE08: Seima no Kouseki
(The Sacred Stones)

Introduction:
This addition to the Fire Emblem series is the 2nd game released in English.
The game is all about turn-based strategy and is centered around a plot that
keeps you hooked and in awe. In this game, you control many different units
that all have unique personalities and their own class. All of the classes
are based upon what weapons they're able to use and their own special stats
and abilities (example: Rogues have the ability to unlock doors and chests
without the use of lock picks or tools). Being the third game to come out for
gameboy advance, there have been many new features added to it that have
differentiated it from the other two games. These features include:
* All new classes, like wyvern knights, summoners, mage knights, the new trainee
classes (recruits, journeymen, and pupils), and many more.
* Certain classes now have special abilities.
* New weapons, like the sacred twin relics.
* The Tower of Valni and the Lagdou Ruins, where you can train and level up your units.
* You can now walk around the map and go to different places, as well as go to shops
and armories that were available in the chapters you have already played.
* There is now a whole new horde of enemies that have been unleashed across Magvel-
monsters, which include zombies called revenants, and fighting skeletons called
bone walkers.
* Changes have been made to the classes, for example, the Valkyrie no longer wields
anime magic, but now wields light magic and Sages can now use light magic as well
as anime magic.
* When you upgrade classes, you can now choose between two different master classes
(example: when you upgrade a mage, you can choose to be a Sage or a Mage Knight).
* After you beat the game, a new option is available in the extras menu, called map,
that allows you to continue to keep playing the game, either in monster battles
across the map, at the Tower of Valni, or in the Lagdou Ruins. You can also earn
secret characters in this option by completing certain things.
* The new story line of course! :)
My Opinion of This Game:
My opinion of this game is very simple- IT'S GREAT! Personally, I can't decide if
this one's the best game for Fire Emblem that has ever been made, but I can tell
you this- I have spent countless hours playing it and it's definitely worth playing.
I love the fact that you can walk around the map and visit all of the shops and
armories so that you can restock on weapons and items. I also like the new classes,
especially the mage knight and the summoner. My advice is simply to buy the game
and abuse it.
Storyline:
The story starts by introducing the 6 kingdoms of the land: Renais, Frelia, Rausten,
Jehanna, Grado, and the republic of Carcino. It begins with the invasion of Renais.
One of Renais most friendly allies, Grado, has invaded it and Renais didn't stand a
chance. The king was killed, the princess, Eirika, flees to Frelia, and Eirika's twin,
prince Ephraim, goes off to strike back at Grado. After fleeing to Frelia, Eirika
decides to go and find her brother, whom she hasn't seen or heard from since he left.
Throughout the story, the twins of Renais try and find out why their closest ally has
suddenly attacked them, and they try to find a way to end the war. They find many new
friendships, betrayals, victories, hopes, despairs, and find that their dearest friend
has changed utterly.
FE09: Souen no Kiseki
(Path of Radiance)
![]()
Information written by BlazingRoy
Introduction:
Well, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is a great game, because the graphics
are really good and the sound effect is amazing. The music fits in well
with every moment of the game.
The CG movies are really awesome, well-colored and beautiful. The story is not the best described in Fire Emblem history but is good and interesting. There are some new features such as you can forge your own weapon and make something better than the old ones! If you enjoyed Fire Emblem : The Sacred Stones I am sure you will like this one, because this one is really cool!!!!
Storyline:
War has engulfed the land of Tellius, where human beorc and half-human laguz
view each other with mistrust. When a surprise invasion triggers a worldwide
conflict, a sinister force emerges from the shadows and pits the two against
one another. Only a young mercenary named Ike and his small band of
soldiers-for-hire stand between Tellius and madness.
FE10: Akatsuki no Megami
(Goddess of Dawn)
![]()
Information written by Valamor
Introduction:
Fire Emblem: Akatsuki no Megami is set to be released in Japan on February 22,
2007. The release date for America is still to be announced. The name, Akatsuki
no Megami, directly translates to Goddess of Dawn, though the name will be
changed upon release in America.
The game features many returning game mechanics, such as leadership, affiliation and biorhythm, as well as the possibility of brand new ones. So far, Intelligent Systems has not given out too much information of Akatsuki no Megami, which is surprising due to the very near release in Japan. They may give out more information prior to the US release.
All the playable characters in Path of Radiance are playable in Akatsuki no Megami as well, with the exception of Largo, who is non-playable because of the story.
Storyline:
Three years have passed since the Continent of Tellius was shook by the war between
Crimea and Daein. The victorious Crimea began rebuilding its lands under their Queen
Elincia, orphan of the fallen King.
On the other hand, the defeated Daein is put under the rule of the Begnion Empire. However those of the old Daein Kingdom are troubled with the oppression by the imperial garrison, and live each day with despair.
In order to escape from this plight, and to save the lives of many Daein citizens, several brave warriors rise by the capital of Nevassa. Their courageous actions are set to shake the whole continent...
