About Layout 5.1

Well, since I am doing this for my anime site, I am changing every page here to php as well. The site is getting kind of large and it takes super long to load pages every time I come (especially the images...). And for this new layout, we have a new theme! The banner image is a character from my manga which I hope to get it entered into a manga contest in Hong Kong, thus, I will not be posting anything about it here. I am going to keep the current site name as Beyond the Light, because I think it sounds cool =P

I kind of want to keep the darkness black theme at first, but then I thought it may be better to change things once in a while, therefore I am using this yellowish-brown layout because I love brown =D

About Layout 5.0

Yay! This is Ki (me) again! The main theme is still Darkness, that's why I am making everything black, even for the flower petals... The incentive to draw this image suddenly came to my mind... and I decided to use it as the new layout (as well as a new wallpaper I have made). The black and white layout is inspired from my present story "Contradiction" and a random site I visited recently. It looks pretty good, doesn't it? The only hard thing is to get the copyright box below the text... since I am using layers and tables, it is really difficult to get it to the right place... (the style is always fixed...)

The main idea in this image is to look back to the past. How do you feel about your life? My life was full of darkness, loneliness and hatred. It is easy to show a cheerful face in front of others, but somehow I find it difficult to show the same face to myself. That's why I have created my own world, a world where Light and Darkness users tend to find a way to utilize these powers... (Oh gosh, I am starting to talk about my story XD Plese read "Contradiction" from the Fiction page. It is coming soon, so check back!)

My Art Work Evolution

I started drawing when I was really small, not by interest, but because I had to do them for assignments. At that time, my mom and dad helped me draw most of my work, and I didn't really know how to draw a thing. However, when I was in grade 4, there was a guy in my class who can draw very well, and I would love to be so too. I started copying his way of colouring (since I still draw very badly I didn't concentrate on drawing practices).

I stopped drawing for a while, then I started to like Japanese animes and mangas. I hoped I could draw as beautifully as those mangakas out there. I started to follow some simple mangas and anime pictures, and became more interested in drawing. I started to draw in my present style from grade 10, following my favourite mangaka Tanemura Arina. Till now my style has only changed a bit, but the basics are still following her style. I learnt CGs starting 2005, and have been using the mouse for most computer work right now. I am trying to start practising using the tablet because the mouse hurts my fingers much. Please visit my gallery and give some comments in the guestbook! Thanks.
